Research

My research is mainly based on education quality. By using all available sources related to pupil/adult achievement tests, I try to evaluate for the quality of education in an international perspective. Currently, I am updating the first database which consisted in 2007 to build the "Qualitative Indicators of Human Capital", by including new data, new methodology and alternative approaches. This database can be useful to economists, and every researcher who is looking for a good proxy for quality of education. Other projects include a report on Turkish Education System, A database on Education inequality, the relation between education quality and economic growth and most recently the evaluation of higher education performance. In relation to these research topics, I have some cooperation projects with Education for All Global Monitoring Report - Unesco, IIEP and World Bank Fast Track Initiative.
